Recently I visited Rishikesh, In Uttarakhand near Haridwar, All these shots are near "Laxman Jhula", a suspended Iron bridge was build in 1939.
Its named before a character of Ramayana, the younger brother of Lord Ram. It is said that "Lakshman" crossed Ganga on jute ropes between the place where this bridge is built.
Its very famous amoung tourists. There is a very similar "Ram Jhula" nearby.
This is the main medium of transport over Ganga here in Rishikesh
Many adventure clubs are present there, who organise River rafting, mountain climbing etc.
Ganga is coming from this side, from its source "Gangotri"
Suspension bridge-another ange
